Much more than sandwiches

There’s Nothing Cheesy about Asiago’s Bakery and Deli in
Texas Corners. This restaurant and café has been open for five
years and has become a favorite for many Kalamazoo County residents.
Chris Khoury, who owns and operates Asiago’s, attributes much of
their success to
a
quality menu that meets the needs of their customers. “When
we first started out, we were just a sandwich shop. Now we have the best
pizza in town, a complete dinner menu and a wide selection of breakfast
sandwiches and pastries. However, where we’ve found our niche is
catering which accounts for 50 per cent of our revenue.”
Asiago’s Bakery and Deli is a family run business. Chris and his
wife Rana spend many hours working together at the restaurant alongside
their children, Nicole and Peter, who attend Mattawan high school.
Catering
Asiago’s Bakery and Deli caters graduations, wedding receptions,
holiday parties and a variety of business meeting and functions. “We’ve
done many and have a catering capacity of 2000 people,” adds Chris.
Asiago’s has an accommodating fourteen foot grill for outdoor barbeques
and licensed bartenders on staff. MPI Research, Stryker, Pfizer, and
Western Michigan University are just a few of their clients. Asiago’s
boasts two chefs, both with training in the culinary arts. “Although
our catering menu is extensive with many choices, I encourage people
to call me to discuss their specific needs or special requests.”
