GET A CLUE AT THE PORTAGE LIBRARY!
2007 Summer Events for Adults and Families
The Portage District Library has great plans for your summer reading.
Events kick off with the 2nd Annual Taste of Portage at the Overlander
Bandshell
behind the Portage City Fire Station. Beginning June 12, adults can register
for the reading program in person, over the phone or online for drawings
every week. Even more fun will be the Clue Trail, a type of letterboxing
program. Waterproof boxes will be hidden in Portage parks. Follow the
clues to the boxes, stamp your logbook and move on to the next clue.
The box’s
logbook keeps a record of all its visitors, and the hunters keep a record
of all the boxes they have found. Events culminate in an August Ice Cream
Social. Check out the fun at www.summerfun.portagelibrary.info or by stopping
in at the library.
Get a clue! Participate in the fun.
